New Adult Bible Study begins December 1 The adult Bible class will begin a study of the Epistles of St. John. The class meets in The Room following the Divine Service each Sunday. Join us!
Advent Service schedule, 2019 Advent begins Sunday, December 1. The Divine Service is at 9 am. Midweek services are Wednesdays, December 4, 11, and 18 at 12:15 pm and 7 pm. A 6 pm soup supper will precede the evening services. \
Saturday, December 7: cuttingSunday, December 8 (after Divine Service) : decorating Please sign up in the narthex to assist with selecting and cutting trees for the sanctuary and Sunday School rooms. We’ll meet at Zion and travel to Medicine Bow National Forest. Please purchase a tree permit if you wish to harvest your own Christmas tree. Permits are available at the Laramie Ranger District Office, 2468 Jackson Street. For more information about the tree outing and decorating, contact Faithe in the church office, 745-9262.
November 17, 2019 Annual Voters Assembly Following the Divine Service Zion Lutheran Church
5:00 – 6:30 p.m. Sundays “The Room” Classes meet each week during the school year. Check the Sunday bulletin or call the church office for schedule variations.
2nd & 4th Wednesdays of each month 10:00 a.m. Chapel, Spring Wind Assisted Living Zion members, friends, and family are encouraged to attend and visit Zion members who reside at Spring Wind. Pastor Debowey will lead the service.
All ages welcome!Lower Level of St. Matthews Episcopal Cathedral Volunteers are needed for two-hour shifts, though they will accept whatever help you can give: 8 – 10 a.m.: Prep meal, desserts, and salads; set up dining room. 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.: Serve food and wash dishes. 12 – 2 p.m.: Serve food; cleanup. Thank you ! The July 4 bake sale hosted by the Thrivent Action Team raised over $700 for Interfaith Good Samaritan and Laramie Soup Kitchen. Thank you to all the Action Team members and other volunteers who baked items, set up and staffed the booth, and hauled tables from and back to Zion. Thanks also to Thrivent Financial for the $250 seed money that covered costs for purchased items.

Garfield Canned protein (chicken, beef, tuna, Spam) Powdered milk or shelf stable boxed milk “Easy” dinners: canned ravioli, Hamburger Helper, microwaveable meals, etc. Canned soups, beans, fruits Non-food items: size 4, 5, 6 diapers; razors, deodorants, toothbrushes, toilet paper, baby wipes Toiletries collected from travels Peanut or other nut butter, jellies or jams A detailed list is available in the church office.
